Franklin Avenue to close from Main Street to Morrison Street

The municipality is upgrading the water and sewer systems downtown. Last year they completed Hardin St to Main St. This year they’ll have Main Street to Morrison Street closed for the construction until Canada Day.

The Riverbend Point project was approved at city council’s meeting last night. Planning and engineering will take about a year before the initial phase of construction will begin.

Temporary closure on Gregoire Drive

Starting tonight and continuing on until Thursday night, there will be a temporary closure on Gregoire Drive, approximately 6-12 hours long, beginning at 7:00 pm. This closure is for the Gregoire Sanitary Sewer Project.

$8 million community centre approved for Eagle Ridge

Council approved a $8 million community centre for Eagle Ridge last night. The facility will likely include a gym, meeting spaces, public spaces and child care. This is in addition to the two new school slated for construction.
